Objectives

The Fownes Hotel is an independently run hotel with 62 rooms, just two minutes walk from the centre of Worcester.

The Hotel approached Wisetiger to help drive direct bookings, reduce commission paid to travel agents and increase occupancy rates.

Results

As it was not possible to book a room on the existing website, Wisetiger redesigned the hotel’s website and integrated it with its own booking system to allow customers to book directly with the hotel.  The website has since attracted over 500,000 visitors since launch and direct bookings increased by 900% in the first year. The hotel has significantly reduced money paid to online travel agents and Wisetiger’s ongoing digital marketing has significantly improved occupancy rates for the independent.
