Unilife website case study

Unilife

Student accommodation website and booking portal

Responsive website for South Coast premium student accommodation

Focus on quality of life and student experience

Booking experience connects to Occam Systems student accommodation portal

Objectives

Unilife operate in Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester and appeal to UK and international students studying in these vibrant south coast cities. They have a clear focus on service, quality of life and the experience they provide for their students.

Wisetiger to tasked with refreshing their existing online presence to help tell more of the Unilife story. The new website needed to evolve their strong visual identity, and include content from their social channels, blog, events and video. The user journey needed to be just a few clicks on the website, leading students to ether get in touch or enter the booking process.

Results

The new website focuses on the student experience to help Unilife stand out from their competitors. This is a differentiator for Unilife and the site makes the best use of video, written content, photography and social media to support their brand narrative.

The website has been planned and built to support SEO, with search engine traffic being supported by PPC and social activity. Special offers and campaign landing pages have been built into the site to drive up engagement and data capture. Recognising their international audience the site uses translation to make content relevant to overseas students, and online chat is available through the website including WhatsApp and WeChat.

Unilife's student accommodation management platform is provided by Occam, and the website has been designed to work hand-in-hand with their booking engine. Website visitors are handed from the website into the portal to complete their booking, which includes the ability to search and filter rooms according to various factors including price, start and end dates, availability and room type. Wisetiger styled the portal to make the user journey from the website through to booking as seamless as possible.
