Record sales for Chaophraya’s Black Friday Digital Campaign

Thai restaurant chain, Chaophraya has made a record number of sales for their Black Friday voucher campaign with sales up 100%, two years in a row.

Supported by our hospitality marketing platform Seehoo™, the Black Friday campaign comprised messaging over a number of digital marketing channels including, targeted emails to the customer database held within Seehoo™ and a social media campaign to Facebook and Instagram, which included both paid and unpaid posts. All of these were supported with automated website changes which consisted of scheduled updates to the professionally implemented content management system. This allowed the messaging to evolve at key moments to leverage Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Last Chance type messages in order to drive sales. The campaign kicked off a week before Black Friday with teaser emails including countdown timers within the emails and throughout the website and the online voucher shop in order to raise awareness and anticipation. 

The slickness and ease of purchase through the online shop, since switching to the Seehoo™ voucher module within the Seehoo™ platform, is instrumental to the growth in sales for the past two years. Within the shop customers are able to choose a postal or e-voucher and we fulfill the postal distribution element too, providing a quality end-to-end service. Each voucher has a unique barcode so once redeemed at point of sale all customer purchase data is collected back into Seehoo™, providing marketing insights for future campaigns. The vouchers can be redeemed against meals in the restaurant as well as to pay for the Cookery School which is booked through Seehoo™’s sister booking system - Seewhen™.

The Thai Leisure Group, which comprises restaurants Chaophraya and Thaikhun use the Seehoo marketing platform for their marketing campaigns, including email marketing, targeted voucher campaigns and booking events, such as cookery masterclasses. As a CRM, Seehoo™ also stores all their customer contact data and provides key insights into how customers are engaging with them allowing them to send targeted messages and vouchers to encourage return bookings and increased spend.  

The Chaophraya Black Friday campaign has been particularly successful with over 4,000 vouchers sold. Their marketing team shared feedback: "Seehoo is fabulous.
