In a recent interview with publisher ‘Future Travel Experience’ Google’s Head of Travel Top Accounts told the magazine that the smartphone will remain a vital part of the travel experience. 

Smartphones and tablets have created a raft of new opportunities in the hospitality sector because these devices are always with their owners and constantly being used to find information or interact with people’s travel plans.

Last year’s Google Report ‘The 2014 Traveler’s Road to Decision’ showed that the internet is the top source for both leisure and business travel planning with 74% of leisure travellers and 77% of business traveler going online before they go away.
