October 2014 - Last week our Creative Director, Simon, visited Leisure Industry Week, the UK's leading health and fitness exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham.
One of the key trends that emerged at the exhibition was how technology is revolutionising the fitness industry, though greater engagement with users, better reporting to trainers and coaches, and better membership retention for clubs.
Personal fitness devices and gadgets are increasingly important to individuals, especially wearables, and we’re all looking forwards to how the new generation of watches will change the way people record their health and fitness. The exhibition also showcased bigger pieces of gym kit which can record health data to be reviewed by individuals as well as clubs and trainers.
Emerging technology, such as smart watches and mobile activity trackers, is creating better engagement, especially with younger generations, and promises to change the way we engage with fitness suppliers and brands in the future.
As well as an opportunity to see the latest products, services and innovations that the market has to offer, Simon also met up with some of Wisetiger's key leisure clients.
