One of our latest projects for Wadworth has involved the design and launch of a new-look online shop. 

The new shop incorporates web development methods that allow pages to load much faster and the products and categories have been regorganised to make navigation simpler.  Pricing has been updated to make the cost of shipping more transparent and a new landing page with many call to action points, allows Wadworth to promote specific products, as well encourage visits to the physical Brewery Tap and Shop located at their brewery and head office in Devices. The home page also includes testimonials from shoppers and further special offers. 

The online shop is integrated with our Seehoo CRM system which enables Wadworth to see who their customers are, how they are using their pubs, hotels and shop. This enables them to reward, delight and surprise customers with automated emails, vouchers and campaigns.

Naturally, a key element of the launch of the new company was a brand new website to showcase their two lie-flat business class seating options. Working closely with Unum’s PR agency 8020, who we have worked alongside numerous times, we created a website ready for the launch day. 

With a home-page video taking the visitor on a journey amongst the clouds, the website is focussed on engagement and ultimately conversion. The user journey was considered and the website optimised for lead generation with many opportunities for data capture including, downloading fact sheets, requests for presentations and call backs and standard enquiry forms, all aimed at generating as many enquiries as possible. 

Unum prides itself on its innovative approach to manufacture and supply and the website has been designed to reflect this innovative nature in both look and feel and tone of voice. Unum’s success criteria for the launch was to gain a lot of press and client attention and the website delivered successfully, experiencing a large volume of traffic on its first day and most importantly generating some enquiries.

Wadworth also own nineteen of their own pubs, all who have their own websites and we were asked to take on the task to redesign and build and host these sites. 

Wadworth, whose corporate colour brand is largely dark blue, was looking for a new colour palette that was more in keeping with their pub’s actual style, interiors and menus and which would be more sophisticated and elegant than their existing websites projected. The design needed to project a more welcoming and engaging user experience that was easy to navigate and imagery and colours that were soft, friendly and upmarket to draw the customers in. 

The new sites have been designed with usability and accessibility in mind and with strong calls to action to drive customers to make bookings. A thoughtful approach was taken over optimising each site for search engines, making sure they return strong conversion results for customers looking for dinner and accommodation locally. 

Built in TYPO3, the multi-site capability of the content management system allows Wadworth to control over 80% of the content on all the websites centrally, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the brand. Pub managers then have the autonomy and ability to update certain areas of their own site for advertising events and suchlike.

Supported by our hospitality marketing platform Seehoo™, the Black Friday campaign comprised messaging over a number of digital marketing channels including, targeted emails to the customer database held within Seehoo™ and a social media campaign to Facebook and Instagram, which included both paid and unpaid posts. All of these were supported with automated website changes which consisted of scheduled updates to the professionally implemented content management system. This allowed the messaging to evolve at key moments to leverage Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Last Chance type messages in order to drive sales. The campaign kicked off a week before Black Friday with teaser emails including countdown timers within the emails and throughout the website and the online voucher shop in order to raise awareness and anticipation. 

The slickness and ease of purchase through the online shop, since switching to the Seehoo™ voucher module within the Seehoo™ platform, is instrumental to the growth in sales for the past two years. Within the shop customers are able to choose a postal or e-voucher and we fulfill the postal distribution element too, providing a quality end-to-end service. Each voucher has a unique barcode so once redeemed at point of sale all customer purchase data is collected back into Seehoo™, providing marketing insights for future campaigns. The vouchers can be redeemed against meals in the restaurant as well as to pay for the Cookery School which is booked through Seehoo™’s sister booking system - Seewhen™.

The Thai Leisure Group, which comprises restaurants Chaophraya and Thaikhun use the Seehoo marketing platform for their marketing campaigns, including email marketing, targeted voucher campaigns and booking events, such as cookery masterclasses. As a CRM, Seehoo™ also stores all their customer contact data and provides key insights into how customers are engaging with them allowing them to send targeted messages and vouchers to encourage return bookings and increased spend.  

The Chaophraya Black Friday campaign has been particularly successful with over 4,000 vouchers sold. Their marketing team shared feedback: "Seehoo is fabulous. It's transformed the way we support our customers with a great experience even before they come and visit us, and then afterwards too. Merchant Taylors' School is an independent school for boys founded in 1561. Since 1933 it has been located at Sandy Lodge, a 285 acres site in North London.

 

We have been working with Merchant Taylors’ since 2007 and as part of a continuous improvement programme, the website has been regularly updated to ensure it represents the school’s brand and meets the needs of existing and prospective parents. 

 

The latest iteration of the site includes a fresh new look, with updated videos, imagery and navigation. The site utilises a powerful CMS at the back end allowing the school to handle the regular updates needed to manage calendars, documents, dates, menus, prospectuses and all the support documents that parents and prospective parents need. 

 

The school’s objectives for the new site was to provide a more modern and fresh look that will attract the very best pupils from their key catchment of London and the home counties. The site needed to represent the brand accurately and capture the school's culture; one of collaboration, coaching and challenge.

Clients will be contacted and invited to take part in a full review of the existing cookies on their site and given recommendations to ensure compliance. 

Largely, the changes outlined by the ICO will involve: - 

  • Cookie pop-up banner - Sites must have a cookie pop-up with options to accept, reject or customise the cookie and privacy settings.
  • Customised privacy settings - Visitors should be able to ‘Customise settings’ in order to choose their privacy settings.
  • Cookie Policy page - Sites will need a new/amended Cookie Policy page; a template for the Cookie Policy wording and guidance based on the Cookies used on the website.

 The 'Cookie Consent' is managed through TYPO3 and full guidance and instructions for managing cookie policies on an on-going basis we will be provided.

We have worked in partnership with Thai Leisure Group for a number of years to ensure that the websites and digital marketing activity of their brands are continuously improving; maximising marketing opportunities and offering a first class visitor experience.

 

The site has had a completely renewed look and feel with the introduction of new galleries, carousels and prominent call to actions. Improvements have been made to the blog, both for search engine optimisation and visually. The user experience (UX) has been improved, utilising the very latest best practice development methods to improve overall operation and speed of the site. Using Twitter cards and Open Graph social sharing format directly within the CMS, the client has been able to gain more control over how their content can be shared on social media platforms.

Based in the market town of Devizes, Wadworth Brewery have been brewing highly respected real ales since 1875 and have over 130 pubs across the South of England.

As is the case with many of our long term clients, website projects do not always require, or have the budget for a total rebuild from the ground up. Wadworth’s needed to update the ‘Find a pub’ section of its website to ensure prospective tenants could easily get to the information they need in order to make an informed decision on becoming a landlord. 

In partnership with Wadworth, we have designed and launched the new website section  which offers improved navigation, removal of duplicate content, improved photography and layout and easy access to facts and key documents pertinent to the decision making process. The new website pages also include a fully automated application process which is easy to use for the applicant and thorough enough to progress the applicant efficiently and reduce admin time for the Tenanted Trade team.

Cordillera, their first product to market, is a much anticipated and innovative aircraft passenger oxygen system, designed to overcome the limitations that aircraft experience when operating over challenging and high terrain routes, such as the Himalayas.

With the Cordillera product now tested and certified by EASA, the original website needed to switch its focus from seeking investors to generating leads and attracting new staff. 

We have worked with Caeli Nova to create new visual brands for both the company and the product; creating illustrations, visual styling, colour palettes and brand identity guidelines. They then built a website that delivers a clear and concise message and guides the visitor through various call-to-actions to receive email updates or to book a presentation, without delivering excessive technical information. 

Working closely with Caeli Nova’s PR firm, the resulting website gives the business credibility in the eyes of both potential clients and employees and ensures they are able to compete with the large organisations that dominate the aircraft interiors and safety market.

EnQuest’s corporate brand guidelines had not been updated since 2013 and were out of date and inaccurate in places. We have developed and supported their investor relations website since 2019 and they engaged us to review all of the existing brand collateral for both internal and external use. This included nine old PowerPoint templates, typography, colour palettes, logos and images. The result comprised a new simplistic PowerPoint template, logos, image library, creation of new assets and graphics and the publication of new online brand guidelines. 

For their public facing communications, rather than publishing a printed set of brand guidelines these have been presented in digital format and include a set of downloadable assets including logos and a library of approved stock photography. As the first iteration of the Guided Knowledge website was launched during the prototype phase of the product, it was primarily aimed at investors. Therefore, a new refreshed website was needed to fully reflect the benefits of the product and drive enquires and sales. 

 

We have redesigned the website to bring the product, rather than the company to the fore. The new site aims to ensure that it’s core buyer; players and coaches, fully understand what it is, how it works and how it will support their game and coaching sessions. The site has the product and its benefits at its centre, keeping pricing transparent and encouraging the visitor to get further information and ultimately to make a firm enquiry. Search Engine Optimisation best practices have been applied to the domain, pages and overall structure of the website, with other SEO factors to drive support, creating leads from search engines. We have supported Chaophraya with their website and digital marketing for many years and it was decided that the Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown was a good time to give the website a visual and functional refresh. As well as a renewed look and feel, it was an opportunity to capitalise on more modern web methods and an updated CMS to enhance the speed and interactivity for the visitor and to gain more control over the content and how it can be shared. 

What resulted was a complete refresh of the site, introducing new galleries, carousels and cards for relevant call to actions. The look of the blog was improved both visual and for SEO purposes. The UX (user experience) improvements, using the latest best practices and development methods has improved the speed and operation of the website which drives improved SEO performance and customer experiences.

The site continues to be fully integrated with their reservation partner and this was switched from Resdiary to DesignmyNight for the relaunch.

The site is integrated with our Seehoo™ Hospitality Marketing Platform to analyse visitor data, manage private dining bookings and sell gift cards and e-vouchers. Previously their gift cards and vouchers were being sold via an e-commerce engine and switching to Seehoo™ has improved the user experience as well as creating actionable insights within the automation capabilities of Seehoo™. The Seehoo™ Voucher module allows Chaophraya to create numerous e-voucher campaigns as needed and it is fully integrated with the master Seehoo™ CRM database allowing them to analyse visitor data and buying patterns.

When Sodexo wanted to refresh their current Student Living website their brief was to create an engaging site that met the needs of university students and to drive occupancy across their sites.

We were on hand to meet this brief and have created a fresh new website which is designed to be clear and engaging and focuses on providing all the information that students need to choose and live in their accommodation. With a strong use of relevant photography and video, the site has a vibrant feel that appeals to its young audience.

The site links seamlessly to Occam's Room Service portal, where students can book and manage their accommodation. Using their APIs we pull pricing and availability through to the website to make the process of choosing and booking a room as easy as possible.

Based on the reputation that we have built, RMI asked us to create a brand new website that would showcase the events and awards programmes and also offer the ever-expanding community of restaurant marketing innovators a go-to place for thought leadership content. In addition to this RMI also sought to have the capability to gather visitor data from the website and use this to provide targeted marketing to it’s audience. 

In the extremely short timescale that was needed for the launch, we built a website that was clean and engaging and showcased the insight and opinion of some of the leading movers and shakers in the hospitality industry. Using our Seehoo™ marketing platform, with its built in CRM, RMI are able to keep in touch with its growing community and use the system to provide targeted marketing communications.

It's designed to drive up sales, increase data capture and deliver brand awareness – and it meets the brief brilliantly.

Planning started back in July. It's not the first time we've found ourselves designing for Christmas in the middle of a summer heatwave, but the team pulled out the stops and got straight into the festive spirit with some lovely styling that's quirky, fun and on-brand.

All of the content and offers were added to the website during November, long before the start of Advent. The website automatically switches the different days on and off during December leaving the marketing team at Wadworth to concentrate on other things. 

Wadworth's digital marketing also includes social activity on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We've been working with Wadworth to make this stand out from the pack at a notoriously busy and competitive time of the year. Email marketing is also successfully driving traffic back to the Advent calendar using our Giraffemail email marketing platform.

Wisetiger unified its online presence, delivering a slicker UI in the process. Magna Housing is a not-for-profit housing association offering 8,500 homes to let and 350 for shared ownership in the Dorset and Somerset areas, providing much-needed affordable housing.

In April 2017, Magna Housing amalgamated from Magna Housing Association Limited, Magna West Somerset Housing Association and Magna Housing Group LImited. A corresponding online consolidation was required, which Wisetiger gamely undertook, upgrading the sites to TYPO3 version 7.6 in the process.

Established in 1875, Wadworth is one of Britain’s oldest and proudest breweries. Today, it keeps lost traditions alive, continuing to hand pub signs, and to deliver beer by horse. Its 6X ale has been a staple of bar pumps since it was first brewed in 1923, but with the advent of craft beer, Wadworth faces stiffer competition than ever.

The new website forms part of a radical refresh of its branding, recontextualising the heritage brewer to appeal to modern drinkers, while still trading on its history - a rejuvenation typified by the double A-side slogan “King of the Old Cool - Hard Craft Since 1875”.

Aside from a fresh, responsive design incorporating beloved pub tropes like wooden floors, the site features a handy “find a pub” tool, integrating with Google Maps for users to find their nearest Wadworth pub on the go.

At the backend, everything integrates with the brewer’s CRM system, allowing them to take applications for job and pub tenant vacancies directly through the site - capturing valuable data along the way.

The BIIAB is the awarding body for the British Institute of Innkeepers’ industry recognised hospitality qualifications. Training centres are licensed by the BIIAB to provide courses towards qualifications ratified by the body. The qualifications help hospitality workers at all levels – from bar staff to publicans and hotel owners – to improve their skills and further their careers.

The new Wisetiger website includes integrated course management for both training centres and students. Course leaders can use the CentreZone extranet to advertise their course on the BII, manage bookings, take payments and access training materials. Individuals can find information, enrol in courses and book sessions all through the website.

Wisetiger is delighted to announce the launch of a new responsive website for Call Systems Technology, the UK’s market leader in wireless on-site communications and alarm monitoring. CST serves a broad range of customers in the hospitality sector ranging from Wagamama, TGI Friday’s, Jamie’s Italian and the Emirates Stadium.

Wisetiger won the CST project in a five-way pitch. Their old website was looking tired but generated good levels of traffic and enquiries. The new website needed some restructuring of the content, a design refresh and to be mobile friendly.

The responsive design website uses the Twitter Bootstrap framework and is managed through a Typo3 Content Management System. Sitting alongside the new website is a WordPress Blog.

We’ve been saying to our senior team that you’ve been fantastic in supporting us during the website population and also making sure that every last issue and change has been seen to. Smartphones and tablets have created a raft of new opportunities in the hospitality sector because these devices are always with their owners and constantly being used to find information or interact with people’s travel plans.

Last year’s Google Report ‘The 2014 Traveler’s Road to Decision’ showed that the internet is the top source for both leisure and business travel planning with 74% of leisure travellers and 77% of business traveler going online before they go away.

PwC report suggests growth across the board for UK hotels, underpinned by a resilient economy, buoyant business travel and a knock-on effect from the Rugby World Cup. Modest growth in occupancy should be mirrored in both the Provinces and in London and should be enough to lift occupancies to record levels.

“With occupancies high, we anticipate ADR growth will drive a strong RevPAR resurgence in nominal terms. In real terms we hope we are seeing the beginning of a sustained and bedded-in period of growth in the Provinces – which is very good news.”

Wisetiger have been working with CRM Students since 2011 and this is the second version of the occupancy marketing website. The key objective of the site is to convert visitors into online bookings. This has been achieved by integrating a TCAS Booking Engine into the website, taking students from ‘browsing’ to ‘booking’ in one fluid process - increasing bookings and helping CRM fill their accommodation quicker.

The website also captures enquiries from people interested in properties which are either full or not yet available for application. This data capture allows CRM to fully engage with interested students, keeping them informed when properties become available.

Wisetiger has also developed a student guarantor service, partnering with Housing Hand to provide a secure, UK-based guarantor to students, allowing them to pay monthly for their student accommodation.

Prior’s Field School is a leading girl’s school near Godalming in Surrey. They have been working with Wisetiger on their marketing since 2006 and during the last 9 years have rolled out regular improvements and enhancements to their website and digital marketing. 

Their latest update is the launch of a multilingual version of their school website which has been rolled out over the top of the existing site. The upgrade allows the website to be browsed and viewed in English, Chinese, Arabic and Russian – and reflects the interest that the school receives from international parents and pupils.

From a administrative perspective the website is controlled through a Typo3 CMS framework, with page content for the different languages all managed across the same page structure as the existing site. Using localisation, the website serves up content to www.priorsfield.com for English, .cn for Chinese, .ru for Russian and .sa.com for Arabic. The different domains support the school's search marketing strategy across international markets.

The show had a great vibe, some brilliant exhibitors, inspiring panel discussions and fantastic attendance from some of the best and brightest independent hotels around.

Marketing and digital subjects were some of the most well-attended panel discussions over the two days, with the show itself tweeting that there was "standing room only at the #gettingsocial session", which featured our very own Andy Shaw (@AndyShawWT) as one of the panelists.

The discussion was chaired by Mr Piers Brown (@BoHoNews), the CEO of Boutique Hotel Media which publishes the industry leading Boutique Hotel News and Serviced Apartment News websites.

The other panelists who joined Andy, included Philip Newman-Hall (@PNH_Hotelier), the Director/GM of Belmond Le Manoir aux QuatSaisons, whose career has spanned 40 years, working with both private owners and group properties, among them Richard Branson's Virgin Hotels; Karen Fewell (@DigitalBlonde), Managing Director of Digital Blonde, a digital consultancy specialising in hospitality, foodservice and food; and Jill Quick (@jillquick), Marketing Consultant at Quick Marketing, who has headed up the marketing teams of luxury hotel groups and private members clubs and has gained experience working in agency and client side roles in the private, public and non-profit sectors.

One of the key trends that emerged at the exhibition was how technology is revolutionising the fitness industry, though greater engagement with users, better reporting to trainers and coaches, and better membership retention for clubs.

Personal fitness devices and gadgets are increasingly important to individuals, especially wearables, and we’re all looking forwards to how the new generation of watches will change the way people record their health and fitness. The exhibition also showcased bigger pieces of gym kit which can record health data to be reviewed by individuals as well as clubs and trainers. 

Emerging technology, such as smart watches and mobile activity trackers, is creating better engagement, especially with younger generations, and promises to change the way we engage with fitness suppliers and brands in the future.

The magazine is hosted within the website of its parent company, The MPI Group, which is a publishing, training and marketing company that has been involved in the marine industry since 1981. Wisetiger was briefed to create a magazine-style, online publication that would deliver enhanced content to Drydock’s readers and increase subscriber numbers and advertisers.

The website is fully configurable, allowing the magazine’s editors to add news stories, advertisements, images and unlimited videos, as well as the ability to easily change the layout to best suit the editorial content.

The ongoing marketing is focussed on delivering news and information about upcoming events throughout the year. The objective is to engage with the target audience and to generate enquiries and online bookings through the website. 

The first campaign is an email broadcast promoting Easter Events, including afternoon tea with an Easter twist at Stanbrook Abbey, a ‘chocoholics dream’ overnight stay at Plas Rhianfa and a 3 day house party at Ackergill Tower. Social segmenting

Once you send a campaign you will start to have access to a wealth of 'social reaction' data. In future campaigns you can segment your campaigns based on that data. This advice is, in effect, a guide to getting compliant. The ICO plan to issue further guidance once the regulations are implemented.

The new rules revise the U.K. Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) apply to cookies, including flash cookies, as well as other technologies that store or gain access to information on users computer (or devices like iPhones).  From the 26th, websites are required to gain explicit consent to store the cookie on the users computer (or device). Previously websites only needed to explain how and where cookies were to be used in it’s privacy policy and provide an opt-out capability.

"I’m doing it for MS (which has affected my family and friends) as well as Kids Task force (www.kidstaskforce.com), a fantastic charity which is helping children in Britain learn how to handle risk and lead a safer life. Kids Task Force are supported by the PFA and they are very kindly supporting me as well." reported, Dominic.

She has more than 17 years experience running PR campaigns for clients in the B2B, consumer and technology sectors, and joins having run her own consultancy for seven years, Proud PR. Prior to that, Natalie was a director at Reading-based agency, Motive PR.

The appointment marks a milestone in Wisetiger’s growth strategy. The Agency’s Managing Director, Andy Shaw explains, “We’ve always delivered great results for clients by having both design and web development capability under one roof. While many organisations already understand the importance of web design and architecture to optimise that experience in terms of usability and SEO, some are still struggling with basic content generation and making wider communications strategies more cohesive. Strategic messaging should be at the heart of all marketing communications, and the resulting content consistently repurposed across all media; from blogs and social networking sites to the web, press and Twitter etc.”

According to Wisetiger, successful SEO is not only influenced by web design and build, key words and Adwords but by the frequency and recency of outbound communications which is usually driven by PR and social media outreach. We’ve just completed the latest campaign for our nationwide leisure centre client Everyone Active. Comprising of both online and offline elements we created a loved-up Valentine's look to attract new customers to our client’s centres. This campaign is the fifth successfully delivered by Wisetiger in 2009-10. Each campaign includes printed flyers, posters and banners plus supporting online content and email marketing. This particular campaign also required specific messages tailored to different geographical regions.

The recommended brand was developed by Wisetiger over a number of months working closely with members of staff at Farnham Town Council and councillors in the corporate development team.  The recommended brand was presented to the full council chamber to receive their views, opinions and a vote of confidence (or not) in the brand .  The councillors voted unanimously in favour of the brand which is now to be rolled out in the new year and will be used to identify all town council activities and involvements.
