Remember 2005? Flip phones were still a thing and smartphones were in their infancy.  YouTube had just launched, and ‘the cloud’ was only just emerging and the internet was, well, a little less sophisticated. But even back then, at Wisetiger, we were busy pushing boundaries, and that’s when our long-standing relationship with ActiveCampaign began.

We’ve gained the wisdom of 20 years as a Partner, evolving alongside ActiveCampaign since its early days. We’ve seen it grow from a server-based tool focused on the advent of mass email marketing into the powerhouse it is today – a platform for Customer Experience Automation (CXA), full-funnel marketing, and comprehensive CRM. Our journey perfectly mirrors the industry’s shift: moving from simple email broadcasts to building sophisticated, automated relationships with your customers.

Back in 2005.

Wisetiger was one of the very first digital agencies in the UK to adopt ActiveCampaign, using its original server-based software to build an email marketing service for our clients. Back then, it was a ‘white label’ platform that required a tech-savvy agency like Wisetiger to deploy, configure, and manage it.

Our first groundbreaking project was with Navteq – a leading provider of SatNav mapping for high-end car brands such as Mercedes and Porsche. This wasn’t just about sending emails; we developed a strategy that delivered highly personalised, conditional communications based on the specific products customers had registered. To add even more precision, these messages were tailored and delivered in multiple languages, automatically matching the customer’s country of registration.

It was pretty groundbreaking for its time. And in truth, it’s stood the test of time. 

This early project really set the tone for our approach – always looking for innovative ways to use technology to deliver exceptional results for our clients. It also cemented our belief in ActiveCampaign’s potential.
